 Verified Fort Heights Homestay - a Gem experience
For weary travellers, the ambience was magical and we couldn't wait to come back to sleep, the customer service was exceptional - they made the World Rugby 15s semi final of my team (Springboks) happen for me and am forever grateful. Fort Heights is a wonderful place to stay It really feels like a home, clean, elegant and with staff that care about the guests wellbeing. I recommend it for a person who likes a quiet place and has few guests. Verified We had a great experience as a family. The owner (lady) was very welcoming gave us a discount...
☺ The place was very homely and clean.
Staff were excellent, break fast was great and my whole family had a great time. 
We could opt to stay there again when back in Fortportal

☹ The route google maps directed us to use from Kampala direction was very bad yet there is a much better official route

☺ Clean and quiet place, with friendly staff and great breakfast.
Hot water (but low pressure)
The host responds quickly.
Lots of private secure parking.

☹ The road is a bumpy dirt road, even more from the backside.
It could be nice with more furnitures on both sides of the veranda.

☺ The place is very quiet and comfortable, and finding a quiet place where you can have a good sleep is really not something easy in Uganda.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Regrettably, we only had a chance to stay for only 2 nights. We wanted more time! From the time we arrived, the staff led by Ms. Stella treated us exceptionally well. We felt so welcome at that point and all throughout our stay. The rooms were great, I think there's a bit of OCD about the cleanliness because I was barefoot a lot of the time and the soles of my feet didn't pick up any dirt, literally. That doesn't generally happen anywhere! The food was really nice and right on time, too. We also chance nice conversation with the Proprietor before we left and he was so humble and gracious make some time and have a cup of tea and coffee with us while we chopped it up on various topics of life. Plus he allowed us to stay longer than our check-out time as our transportation got a bit delayed. Overall, I cannot wait to spend more time at Fort Heights the next time an opportunity presents itself. Highly recommended! Thank you to the Proprietor, and special thanks to the staff and her team that made our stay memorable. I could write more!
